spare-time projects

In 2019, I took a break from being in bands to make a board game. The result? A board game about being in a band.

I chose nine cities, including: Austin, Vegas, Seattle, New York City, and even a cruise festival. I spent time researching each city and selected a few of their highlights. (You know buildings or things that make you say something, like, “Oh, that’s totally Nashville.”) Each one started pure analog style… Just a piece of printer paper and a pencil.

Getting it off the screen and on the table.

I got really involved in the printing process. I took my time ordering multiple samples and making the necessary tweaks after each round. The finished product was better than expected.

How I was involved

This one was all me from the ground up to the top floor. (Well, also my adoring wife who let me talk about this project for months on end like a crazy person.)
